John Nelson
John Nelson “wakes people up” as his clients often say. His philosophy in life, and business, has always been “If you aren’t having fun you aren’t doing it right!” During his ‘dance with cancer’ in the last year John realized there was a distinct difference between cancer survivors and what he calls cancer “thrivers.” Now he has added that “lifeāand business--is about thriving not just surviving.” The lessons he learned during his cancer dance have been added to the work he was already doing of helping companies and people reach higher levels of business success. The result of this addition? His clients get to learn the mindsets and approaches to make their businesses thrive even faster! Whether we are dealing with a health issue, a business direction or goal or personal growth, at the deepest levels the change process is the same and the Thriver’s Mindset is the difference that makes the difference.
John is an effective public speaker, consultant and occasional author. After earning a BS in Business from the University of Colorado, John began a career of helping people and companies with both personal and professional development. He has an extensive background in human communication and is a certified master practitioner and trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming-a field that focuses on communication and belief systems and how they impact performance and results. He has studied and practiced Ericksonian Hypnosis and many other fields of learning and personal development and is an expert in the Sandler Selling System.
He successfully started and ran The Compass Group, a coaching and training company that specialized in developing peoples communication skills and leadership capabilities.
